Mechanical Contractor's License

To do mechanical work in Michigan you need a mechanical contractor's license. To get an application for a license, contact:

The Board issues contractor licenses in these classifications:

Hydronic heating, cooling, process piping
HVAC equipment
Ductwork
Refrigeration
Limited heating service
Unlimited heating service
Limited refrigeration, air conditioning service
Unlimited refrigeration, air conditioning service
Specialty

Contractor must be licensed to enter duct system. He must hold ductwork endorsement. Contractor must also have HVAC equipment license to clean blower and coils per MI BOCA code and Michigan inspectors.

Sanitizing

Anyone who offers pesticide application services for hire (which includes bidding on contracts and advertising) needs a Pesticide Applicator Business License (PABL). PABL expires annually on December 31st. The information below shows the firms that have a valid 2009 PABL as of 1/27/2009 9:10:28 AM. This list is updated monthly. If you are looking up a firm that is offering pesticide application services and do not find them on this list, please report this finding to the Michigan Department of Agriculture (MDA) Regional Office nearest you.
